Need for tax policies that guarantee equality among all people are not new topics, the fact is that this scenario went unnoticed in the tax reform discussions at the national congress [4] , without the presentation of proposals with the aim of combating discrimination and the burden placed on women in the current tax system. Envisioning such a scenario, the Taxation and Gender study group of the Tax Law Center of the Professional Master's Degree at the São Paulo School of Law of the Getulio Vargas Foundation, formed by attorneys from the National Treasury, as researchers, as well as lawyers, teachers and FGV law interns presented a document to the National Congress with suggestions for changes to the tax reform proposals in progress, with the aim of including tax policies to combat gender inequality in taxation.
Among the suggestions presented is the granting of exemption from PIS/Cofins and IPI on female intimate absorbents, child and adult sanitary diapers, contraceptives and medicines used in hormone replacement due to menopause and sexual reassignment, aiming, precisely, to reduce the burden tax and price reduction of these products, in order to facilitate access to these items. The study EL Salvador Mobile Number List also has other suggestions, such as granting tax incentives to companies that hire female heads of families and/or black women; that have policies for the inclusion of women in management positions; that they maintain at least 30% of women on their staff and that they maintain at least 40% of women in the last three highest levels of positions in the company, or as directors and managers; in addition to hiring women survivors of domestic violence.
From this perspective, it is essential that the legislative branch turns its attention to the issue and starts to include policies capable of combating the atrocious reality that affects Brazilian women. There is no longer room to admit a scenario in which the majority of the population is made up of women and one in three Brazilian women has already suffered or is suffering some form of violence due to their female status [6] . In addition to enduring physical and emotional violence, fearing for her life and the safety of her children, compromising women's income for basic needs, such as food, health and hygiene, due to a tax burden that disregards social and gender differences It is also revictimizing and disempowering. The need for fiscal policies aligned with the topic is urgent.
